It was a moment that was picked apart by social media and left viewers divided: Did Prince Harry snub Brooklyn Beckham?
Speculation of a “feud” went into overdrive when video of an “awkward” encounter between Harry, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles emerged.
All were in attendance for a footy match in which Los Angeles Football Club played Inter Miami – the club co-owned by Brooklyn’s father David Beckham.

The footage in question showed Harry surrounded by security guards walking through the stadium, tapping one of his guards on the back just before crossing paths with Brooklyn and Nicola.
At this point, it’s pertinent to explain how the video comes in the wake of a rumoured feud between Harry, his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Brooklyn’s parents David and Victoria Beckham.
The Sussexes reportedly accused Victoria of leaking stories about them – leaving David “absolutely b***** furious”.

Now, body language expert Louise Mahler has weighed in with her take on the blink-and-you-miss-it stadium moment.
She believes there are two options as to what went down.
“I think that there were people in front of Brooklyn and you can’t really see his eye contact and whether he could see (Harry) or not,” she tells 7Life.
“So, one option is that he couldn’t see him.
“The other option is that he did see him and he’s very well-versed at pretending not to see people.”
Mahler says that what supports the second option is that Harry “reached out to his guard at the same time”.
“Often we do that as a misdirection to distract attention and go, ‘Hey, hey, I was talking to the guard, you know, I didn’t see, I was talking to the guard,’ so a misdirection move,” she says.
“I think it could have been intentional.”

Assessing Brooklyn’s body language, Mahler says that the 24-year-old was “looking straight ahead, concerned, worried about whether he would be seen, but he was not trying to attract attention at all”.
She stressed that Harry appeared to “avoid” a hello with Brooklyn by attracting the attention of the guard and moving on “because he doesn’t normally reach out to people”.
“He didn’t reach out after that,” Mahler said.
“It was a misdirection move just to make it look all casual.”

After the footage went viral on social media, fans had their say on whether Brooklyn and Harry were avoiding an encounter.
“What? I didn’t even notice Brooklyn and I’m sure no one else would either,” one fan wrote.
“Harry had zero relationship with the Beckham kids so what’s the big deal?” a second said.
“He probably didn’t even notice if truth be told? He was rushed through,” agreed a third.
“It looks like he just didn’t notice and someone made a big deal out of it. I mean, it happens,” a user said.

Meanwhile, others thought the move was a “snub” from the prince.
“Sorry but Harry’s hand movement was sooooo deliberate,” one argued.
“Please! To those saying Harry doesn’t know who Brooklyn is… of course he does! Such a snub when he’s watching David Beckham’s team play,” added another.
“Well this is awkward,” a user wrote.
